The "Declaration for Promoting Diversity & Inclusion" published by our university in December 2021, as well as our medium- to long-term vision "HU VISION 2030," are based on this understanding and position "diversity and inclusion" as a core value of our university. Creating an environment in which each individual is respected and can work and challenge themselves with confidence in all fields of education, research, and employment is directly linked to both the advancement of academia and contributions to society.

The Diversity and Inclusion Promotion Headquarters considers its important mission not only to develop systems and support measures, but also to re-examine what has been considered "normal" and create new values ​​and practices. It carefully investigates whether less visible voices and diverse experiences are being unconsciously excluded, and the process of moving forward and developing through continuous improvement via dialogue is itself important.DEIWe believe this is the core of our efforts to promote this initiative.
