1. We will be holding a "YKK Female Engineers Roundtable Discussion" for graduate students!
As you may know, the YKK Group employs many female engineers in fields such as materials development and advanced analysis and interpretation technologies.
We're hosting a roundtable discussion featuring executives from YKK and a female engineer who graduated from our university. They'll share their honest opinions about the realities of working in the field and the work of engineers. Why not join us to ask about YKK's work environment, the working styles and work-life balance of technical staff, and much more?
A free lunch is included, so please register in advance.

Graduate School of Engineering, Advanced Materials Hybrid Engineering Laboratory
This research lab is apparently conducting challenging research to create hybrid, or so-called composite, materials and explore their potential uses.
This event is open to all Master's and Doctoral students at this university, regardless of gender. There are apparently many international students participating. Those looking to expand their on-campus network are also welcome.
We still have seats available, so we welcome you to join us with your friends.

3. Applications are now being accepted for the "SG FResHU Support" program, which provides support for inviting overseas researchers related to childbirth and childcare.
For female researchers (including faculty and postdoctoral researchers) who find it difficult to travel abroad due to pregnancy, childbirth, or childcare, we offer the opportunity to invite researchers from overseas to provide advice on research or discuss collaborative research.
We will subsidize the travel expenses (up to 29 yen) and honoraria (up to 10 yen) of invited researchers.
The invitation period is expected to be approximately 5 to 10 days.

The deadline is Monday, July 1st.

4. Announcement of the 14th (2019) Naito Memorial Research Grant for Women Researchers
This grant provides financial assistance for research expenses, with the aim of supporting researchers who have had their research interrupted due to childbirth and childcare, and helping them return to research and achieve research results. It is available to female researchers with a doctoral degree who have given birth within the last 60 months.
We are currently accepting applications for the 2019 academic year, and the deadline is Monday, May 27th.

5. Announcement of the 10th Tsuda Umeko Award for Fiscal Year 2019
Tsuda University is currently accepting applications for the "Tsuda Umeko Award," established in 2010. This award, named after the pioneering spirit of Tsuda Umeko, aims to recognize challenges that open up the possibilities for the future of women.
Individuals/organizations who meet either of the following criteria and have had a significant impact on modern society will be considered for selection.
1. Individuals or groups/organizations (regardless of gender) that are working to expand opportunities for women.
2. Women who have pioneered activities in various fields
The deadline is July 12th (Friday), and applications must be received by this date. For more details, please see below.
