On Tuesday, February 20th, we will be holding our first mentoring training workshop for female researchers and graduate students affiliated with our university. The workshop will cover the content and methods of the mentoring system, as well as the significance of developing researchers' career awareness, through lectures and practical exercises. We encourage anyone interested in mentoring, acting as a mentor, or learning more about the workshop content to participate.

If you wish to participate, please send an email by February 16th (Friday) with your name, affiliation, job title/year, and preferred session (Session 1, Session 2, or both). (Although it is divided into Session 1 and Session 2, you can participate in just one or both.) freshu@jimu.hokudai.ac.jp

*Mentoring is a process in which an experienced and knowledgeable person (senior) called a mentor acts as a role model and supports the career development and growth of a mentee (student, young postdoctoral researcher, etc.) through dialogue, addressing psychological and social aspects. The support office aims to build an advice and consultation system that differs from general counseling, for senior, junior, or peer female researchers regarding balancing their research careers and personal lives.
