The route from the North 13th Street Gate to the Institute of Information Science
① First, we go through the North 13th Street Gate. This is where we enter.
② A little further on, there is a gate for cars. (This is a photo from summer.)
Pedestrians should continue straight ahead.
③ You will see the sign for the Faculty of Pharmacy on your left. (This photo was taken in the summer.)
We'll keep going.
④ Continue straight along the ginkgo tree-lined street until you reach the intersection with Hokkaido University Central Street.
Cars and bicycles also use this road. Please cross carefully.
⑤ From here, please proceed straight along the road to the left of the bicycle parking area.
The glass-walled building you see on the left is the "Faculty of Engineering Shared Experiment Building, Architecture and Urban Design Studio Building, and Open Lab."
⑥ On the right is the newly constructed "Resource Engineering Research Building".
⑦ Turn right at the end of the street. This is what you will see when you look to your right.
⑧ You will soon see your destination, the "Information Science Research Building."
The tall building on the right side of the photo is our destination.
The meeting place is the Information Science Research Building!

The route from the main gate to the Institute of Information Science
① First, the main gate.
The sidewalk is on the right ahead, so please proceed to the right. (The photos up to this point are from summer.)
② Beyond the main gate, there is a gate for vehicles.
Pedestrians continue straight along the sidewalk.
③ Continue straight along the road.
You'll see a library sign on your right. Keep going straight.
④ Further ahead, to your right is the Furukawa Auditorium building, and to your left is a roundabout.
The sidewalk curves to the right. Please continue along the sidewalk.
⑤ The main street is the central street of Hokkaido University.
Proceed along Chuo Street.
⑥ To the right are the faculties of Literature, Economics, and Education.
You'll see the Hokkaido University Museum on your left. Keep going straight.
⑦The stylish building you'll see on your right is a Seicomart convenience store.
It's still straight.
⑧ You will see a pond on your left. Just ahead is the intersection with the ginkgo tree-lined street.
If you cross the road to the left, you will see the Faculty of Engineering.
⑨ You will now enter the Faculty of Engineering campus. From here, please proceed straight along the path to the left of the bicycle parking area.
