Hokkaido University is implementing the "WinGS (Women in Global Science)" project, which promotes the international activities of female researchers, as part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Research University Strengthening Promotion Project. As part of this project, the Office for Supporting Female Researchers is now accepting applications for the first "Global Networking Award 2019," which recognizes female researchers with outstanding international capabilities and provides conditional subsidies for a portion of their overseas travel expenses to further promote international collaboration.
Prize details
In addition to awards, we will provide a subsidy of up to 40 yen to cover expenses including travel costs for attending the conference and the Plus-One Visit, as well as conference registration fees.
Eligible persons
Female assistant professors, lecturers, and associate professors affiliated with this university (including specially appointed faculty members in these positions)
Application Requirements
Applicants must present (oral or poster) as the first author at an international conference or similar event, and complete their travel by March 31, 2020 (Tuesday).
- In conjunction with participation in the relevant academic conference, etc., visit universities and research institutions (Plus-One Visit) to hold discussions toward international collaborative research.
