The 2019 Hokkaido Diversity Research Environment Promotion Network Meeting was held.

The Hokkaido Diversity Research Environment Promotion Network Meeting was held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, in Conference Room 10 of the Academic Exchange Hall, Hokkaido University.
Eighteen representatives from Hokkaido University, Muroran Institute of Technology, Kitami Institute of Technology, Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Nitto Denko Corporation, and Amino Up Co., Ltd., all participating in the Hokkaido block, were in attendance.
First, each participating organization provided a detailed explanation of the outline of their project plan.
Following that, as part of the discussions regarding the organizational structure of the project, we talked about how to proceed with the advisory board, cooperating organizations, and project staff meetings.
Furthermore, there was a lively question-and-answer session and exchange of opinions regarding the upcoming kick-off symposium and research exchange meeting.
Furthermore, as part of efforts to reform the awareness of all collaborating organizations and improve information dissemination, we shared our vision for the creation of a project website and brochures.
This meeting marks the start of a six-year project. We agreed to promote collaboration with participating organizations in order to broaden understanding of diversity research and create synergistic effects that will spread to various regions and fields in Hokkaido.
