The logo for Hokkaido University's "Future Scientists Training Program - Environmental Science Disseminating from Hokkaido to the World and the Future," featuring a poplin design, was created by Yuka Naraki, a doctoral student in the Department of Natural History Sciences, Graduate School of Science, Hokkaido University.
Alongside her research on water fleas, Ms. Naraki took a graphic design practical course at the Hokkaido University Science and Technology Communicator Training Unit (CoSTEP) in 2007, and began her activities as a science designer, introducing science through accessible pictures and diagrams.
This logo mark is friendly and cute, reflecting the intentions behind Hokkaido University's "Future Scientists Training Program."
