We will be hosting "KNIT a Network! Researcher Exchange Meeting: Role Model Roundtable," an online event held via Zoom during lunchtime on Thursday, August 10th, where we will welcome various guests involved in the world of science and research and have them talk about their lives and work in an interview format.
For our sixth roundtable discussion, we welcome Rikako Shirono and Mika Chiwaki, Industry-Academia Collaboration Managers from the Innovation Creation Division of the Industry-Academia-Regional Collaboration Promotion Organization, as guests to introduce their work within universities.
The "Industry-Academia-Regional Collaboration Promotion Organization" plays a role in connecting the knowledge generated at universities to industry and ultimately to our daily lives.
Even within the same department, the specific tasks and the circumstances that led to their current positions vary from person to person.
We will hear about their life stories, as well as the industry-academia collaboration work they are currently involved in.
