The Office for Promoting a Diversity Research Environment will begin conducting regular surveys on awareness of diversity promotion within the university and tracking changes over time, with the aim of realizing a diverse research environment. Currently, we are conducting preliminary surveys to create effective survey items.
Therefore, if you agree with this purpose, please respond via the URL below by 3:15 PM on Monday, March 15th. (Estimated response time: approximately 15 minutes)
Please note that this survey targets staff, faculty, and students affiliated with Hokkaido University. We would appreciate it if you could also ask those around you to cooperate.

The Hokkaido Block Meeting of the National Diversity Network will work to promote understanding and build a network for initiatives such as creating a research environment where diverse researchers, including female researchers, can demonstrate their abilities, developing and promoting diverse leaders, and reforming organizational awareness.
In this study group, we will consider gender equality as a key element of the SDGs.

3. Announcement of the "Information Design & Communication Seminar for Basic Researchers: Connecting with Society" (repost)
To further develop research through collaboration with others—whether in different fields, industries, or local communities—it is necessary to accurately communicate to them the connections and impact of one's research on social issues.
In this seminar, we will invite instructors with extensive networks in industry to teach us about the types of information and methods for connecting information to effectively communicate research content and social issues to others.
If you're interested in learning more about collaborative research, even if you don't have any plans yet, or if there might be a possibility in the near future, or if you're having trouble creating connections that could lead to collaboration, or if you want to know how to communicate your research to people outside your field of expertise, please join us.
