This fund aims to support research and studies that contribute to feminist/gender studies, or activities conducted from the perspective of women's empowerment and support for women.
We are now accepting applications for research and activities to be eligible for grants in fiscal year 2021.
The deadline for applications is May 14, 2021.
Scope of Grant Application
We provide grants for research and studies that contribute to feminist/gender studies, or activities conducted from the perspective of women's empowerment and support for women (*1).
For example, these include expenses related to research, the purchase and collection of materials and books, presentations abroad (*2), publications (*3), and the holding of international symposiums, workshops, training sessions, etc. (*4).
*1 However, this is conditional on not simultaneously receiving research grants, fellowships, or other funding from other organizations for the same theme (project).
*2 For overseas presentations, applications are accepted even if the application is in progress or planned. However, if the presentation is canceled or becomes impossible, the grant will not be provided even if the grant is approved by the Foundation's Review Committee.
*3 The grant for publication will cover a portion of the publication costs. In addition, the costs of translating previously published papers intended for publication are also eligible for the grant.
*4 For applications related to the holding of international symposiums, workshops, and training sessions, only expenses related to inviting participants from overseas are eligible.
*5 Please note that this is the final call for applications, and therefore only business plans that can be implemented even under the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic will be accepted.
