Departmental Initiative Support: Hokkaido University FD/SD Seminar Announcement (Held on July 26th)

The Office for Promoting a Diversity Research Environment states:Support Program for Departmental and Organizational Initiatives to Promote a Diverse Research Environment"(Applications for the 2021 academic year are available here.We are implementing the following program. The aim of this program is to deepen the understanding of members of the university community regarding the promotion of a diverse research environment and gender equality among researchers, and we support the implementation of seminars and other events held on campus.
 
Thanks to this support, the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences of our university will be hosting an FD/SD seminar on Wednesday, May 26th. Please see the details below.
 

Seminar name Let's start diversity management!
 —From advanced education and employment support for diversifying students to SDGs—
Project Purpose Recognizing diversity and creating organizations and societies where diverse talents can thrive is essential in the coming era.
Furthermore, diversity is a key keyword in SDGs initiatives, and diversity management (DM) is necessary in student education at universities and research laboratories where diverse students gather. Therefore, this faculty development (FD) training will deepen understanding of the current state of diversity at Hokkaido University, the background behind the growing attention to diversity in organizations, and DM as one aspect of these initiatives.
Target Faculty and staff (including researchers) belonging to the Hakodate Campus and faculty members of the entire university
