2nd National Presentation

The 2nd National Presentation Meeting of the Future Scientists Training Program was held at the University of Tokyo from September 17th to 19th. Four students from Hokkaido University (2 oral presentations and 2 poster presentations) participated.

Approximately 70 high school students from 14 participating organizations across the country participated in the national presentation, where they presented their research findings. Oral presentations consisted of 12 minutes for the presentation and 8 minutes for questions, and every presentation was followed by lively question-and-answer sessions among the students. Poster presentations also received even more questions than oral presentations, and the presenters answered them confidently despite their nervousness.

Of the four participants from Hokkaido University, one received an Encouragement Award for their oral presentation (1 group received the Grand Prize, 4 groups received the Excellence Award, and 5 groups received the Encouragement Award), and one also received an Excellence Award for their poster presentation (out of a total of 10 groups).

There was active interaction among the students at the dormitory, and it seems they made many friends.
