The "Shiseido Women Researchers Science Grant" is a support program for female researchers that was newly established in 2007.
[Purpose] To support the research activities of outstanding female researchers and to cultivate leading female researchers.
[Target Fields] All aspects of natural science (Please refer to the website below for details)
[Eligible Applicants] Female researchers (regardless of nationality) engaged in research in the natural sciences at universities or public research institutions in Japan.
[Grant amount] 1 million yen per project
[Number of items received] Maximum 10
[Use of Grant Funds] Research expenses (reagent costs, equipment costs, etc.), employment costs for research assistants, etc.
[Research period covered by grant] 1st round: April 2008 - March 2009
[Application Deadline] Thursday, December 27, 2007 (must arrive by this date)
