10. (Deadline: October 17) We are currently conducting a basic survey on awareness and perception of diversity and inclusion.

We have decided to conduct a university-wide survey to evaluate the extent to which our university has the necessary foundation to promote diversity and inclusion, and to identify any shortcomings or challenges.

Information has been disseminated to faculty and staff via DeskNets, and to students via ELMS.

2. (Repost) Notice of film screening on transgender issues (to be held on 10/10)

This is an announcement regarding a film screening on the theme of transgender issues.

Sapporo Rainbow Pride, in collaboration with the university's officially recognized club, Niji no Tsudoi, will be held on October 10th (Monday, national holiday) at the Academic Exchange Hall.
This film screening is open to everyone, but there is an admission fee. Please check the details on the webpage below.

3. Call for submissions for the Award for Outstanding Female Researchers (Maria Skłodowska-Curie Prize)

The second round of applications (self-nominations and nominations by others) for this award, which targets young female researchers, has begun. The key criteria for the selection process are "potential for growth as a researcher," "willingness to engage in international collaborative research," and "a desire to contribute to humanity."

Target audience: Female researchers who have obtained their doctoral degree within the last five years, and female graduate students in doctoral programs.
   This covers a wide range of research fields related to science and technology.
Awards include: Grand Prize (1 winner), 100 million yen prize money, etc.
     Encouragement Award: 2 recipients, prize money 50 yen
