Today's announcements are packed with information, consisting of four items.

12. Self-defense workshop: "Self-defense techniques for escaping crime" (December 23)

As part of the Cabinet Office's "Campaign to Eliminate Violence Against Women," we will be holding a self-defense workshop titled "Self-Defense Techniques for Escaping Crime." This workshop is open to faculty, staff, and students of our university.
How can you protect yourself from danger in secluded areas of a university, in private rooms, or on your way home from university? How can you avoid becoming a perpetrator?
This 120-minute session teaches you, from a professional in crime prevention and self-defense, "crime prevention knowledge and mindset to prevent emergencies from ever happening" and "techniques to never give up when an emergency does occur."

12. "Disability Awareness Week" awareness event (December 3-9)

Every year, December 3rd to 9th is "Disability Awareness Week".
This year, in cooperation with Sapporo City, we will be selling products from employment support facilities and holding lectures.

◇Genki Shop Equal will be exhibiting from December 3rd (Sat) to December 9th (Fri) (excluding December 5th).
◇Lecture for students and faculty members: Wednesday, December 7th, 1:30 PM
 "Thinking about Neurodiversity: What is the 'gray zone' of developmental disorders?"
◇Training for teachers and staff, including teachers of higher education institutions and high schools: Thursday, December 8, 16:30-
 "Supporting Students with Developmental Disabilities: Aiming for More Barrier-Free Classes"

3. Exhibition of D&I-related books begins at the main library.

The "Diversity and Inclusion Book Exhibition," a joint project with the university library, is currently being held and is proving very popular.
The exhibition at the North Library will end on November 30th, and the exhibition at the Main Library will begin on December 1st.
Whether you were able to visit the North Library or unfortunately couldn't make it, we look forward to seeing you at the exhibition in the main library.

This year, please write your thoughts and impressions about the exhibited books on sticky notes and post them on the bulletin board in the library's exhibition space.

4. Announcement of the 3-part series "Leadership Training Seminar for Female Researchers Aiming to Become PIs" (reposted)

This is a three-part seminar focusing on practical knowledge of leadership and research management skills for female researchers. It will be held once a month from December to February.
The instructor has over 20 years of experience in research management and researcher career development training.
Why not participate online from your own research lab or home? This event is open to female researchers at this university, including specially appointed researchers (assistant professors, lecturers, and associate professors).

The dates for all three sessions have been decided! Each session will be held from 9:00 to 13:00.
