1. Female Researcher Role Model Lecture: "Raising Your Perspective and Taking the Next Step in Your Career" (1/7)
Japan Women Scientists AssociationDEIThe Promotion Headquarters will co-host an online lecture series featuring female researcher role models.
This lecture will cover the universityDEIIn addition to introducing our initiatives, we will hear from leading female researchers in Japan and the United States, who are active in different environments, about their various experiences, including their career paths, work-life balance, and social contribution activities as scientists. In the special lecture, we will hear from Dr. Mai Uchida (a graduate of Hokkaido University), who has made numerous media appearances and works as a physician while raising children at Harvard University in the United States.
We hope that gaining new insights from experiences different from your own will help you take a better next step in your career. This program is open to faculty, staff, and students of this university.

2. Announcement of the Lecture Series on High-Class Role Models for Female Researchers (1/10)
In collaboration with the Institute for Advanced Biosciences at our university, we will be hosting a lecture series featuring high-class role models among female researchers.
Our lecturer will be Professor Reiko Kuroda of Chubu University, one of Japan's leading female scientists.
The event will be held in person at Building 7 of the General Research Building on the North Campus. No registration is required; please come directly to the venue.

The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Hokkaido University will be hosting a seminar on diversity.
This faculty development (FD) session will provide an overview of the current situation at our university, followed by lectures on what is needed to promote diversity, and we will consider how to approach these initiatives. All faculty and staff members of this university are welcome to participate.
