On February 27, 2023, the Hokkaido Diversity Research Environment Promotion Network (KNIT: Hokkaido University, Muroran Institute of Technology, Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine, Kitami Institute of Technology, Amino Up Co., Ltd., and Nitto Denko Corporation) compiled the results of the "KNIT Joint Research Grant (Joint Research Grant for Developing Female Researcher Leaders)" implemented in the KNIT project in fiscal years 2020 and 2021.KNIT joint research exchange presentationWe held the event online.
At this exchange meeting, the 13 researchers selected as principal investigators presented the results of their joint research from the perspectives of the KNIT joint research objectives: (1) improving research capabilities, (2) strengthening leadership, and (3) expanding the research network in Hokkaido.
The presentation reported achievements such as "development of research vision as a leader," "securing new research funding," and "expansion of researcher colleagues."
Furthermore, active exchange of opinions took place as the selected presenters provided comments on each other's presentations using a dedicated form.
Thanks to the KNIT joint research grant, not only have individuals advanced their research and strengthened their leadership skills, but the network of female researchers has also expanded.
