On Wednesday, March 22nd, we held the 2022 Otsuka Prize Recipients' Exchange Meeting.
(The Otsuka Prize was established in 17 to nurture outstanding female students who aspire to become researchers. For more details, see...)CLICK HEREplease look at. )
At the 4 Hokkaido University Otsuka Prize Award Ceremony, President Kiyohiro Takaragi and Professor Emeritus Eiko Otsuka were in attendance.
The certificate of commendation was presented by President Hokin.
Following the award ceremony, a networking event was held at the same venue, where the award recipients could interact with Professor Otsuka, Professor Emeritus of Hokkaido University.
At the exchange meeting, after each participant introduced their research and future career plans, Professor Emeritus Otsuka offered warm messages and advice to each individual. There was also active discussion about the current situation of having few female researchers, which seems to have led to the expansion of the researcher network among the award recipients.
Due to the COVID-3 pandemic, we had to postpone our get-togethers for about three years, so this was our first one in a long time.
We are preparing to release the award winners' video messages exclusively for internal use within the university.
Please wait a moment while we provide you with further information.
