On Wednesday, September 6, 2023, we hosted an internship for a Hokkaido Prefectural Assembly member's office.

A total of eight people, including interns and staff members, visited our university.
DEIFrom the Promotion Headquarters, Specially Appointed Professor Noriko Nagahori spoke about the progress of diversity and inclusion initiatives throughout Hokkaido University, as well as the efforts of universities nationwide.
We also received cooperation from the faculty members of the Student Counseling Center. Ms. Sawako Sakakibara, head of the Accessibility Support Office, explained the acceptance of students with disabilities at Hokkaido University, and Mr. Tetsuo Sato, deputy head of the International Student Counseling Office at the same center, explained the support system for international students.
Many questions were asked in response to each speaker's presentation, and participants commented that it was a very meaningful opportunity.
