This lecture highlighted points to consider in educational and research settings, such as consciously reflecting on the unconscious biases each individual possesses and critically examining the biases present in the composition of decision-makers. It also raised issues related to the core of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including gender discrimination that already exists before university entrance, the decline in research performance during pregnancy and child-rearing and its long-term impact on performance evaluation, and the need for discussion surrounding the still-occurring "Boys, be ambitious!" within the university. Participating faculty and staff members expressed opinions such as being reminded of these issues and wanting to share them with their families. In this way, the lecture was particularly significant in terms of raising awareness and reforming attitudes in research and educational settings.DEIWe achieved results that contributed to the advancement of the initiative.
