Vol. 45 2024 Support Personnel/Seminar for Senior Positions/DEIPublic viewing event for junior high school veterinary students.

Now, we have four announcements for today.

2024. Call for applications for the "Support for Personnel to Balance Research Activities and Life Events" and the "Support for Personnel to Balance Research Activities and the Advancement of Female Leaders" for the second semester of FY2024.
2. Senior Skills Development Training: "Communication Skills" for Female Researchers as Leaders (February 20)
Three.DEIWe will be holding a public viewing event (February 9th).
2. We will hold an event at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to support junior and senior high school students in choosing science-related career paths (February 23).

2024. Call for applications for the "Support for Personnel to Balance Research Activities and Life Events" and the "Support for Personnel to Balance Research Activities and the Advancement of Female Leaders" for the second semester of FY2024.

<Life Event Support> This program supports researchers by providing "support for the employment costs of support personnel" to enable them to balance life events such as childbirth and childcare with their research activities and to carry out their work smoothly.
<Support for the Advancement of Female Leaders> This program provides financial support for the employment costs of personnel who assist female researchers affiliated with Hokkaido University who hold important positions both inside and outside the university, such as university administration and social contribution, enabling them to balance their research activities with social contribution activities and succeed as female leaders.

Those wishing to apply should carefully read the application guidelines on each respective webpage and submit their application form by the deadline set by each department.
(The deadline is February 5th (Monday), but departmental deadlines are likely set earlier. Please be aware of this.)

The decision on acceptance or rejection is scheduled for mid-February or later.

2. Senior Skills Development Training: "Communication Skills" for Female Researchers as Leaders (February 20)

This seminar will feature Professor Kaori Yano (Associate Professor at Nagasaki University), who serves as a speech consultant for executives such as university presidents, politicians, and business leaders, as the lecturer, and will focus on the "speaking skills" required of leaders.
As you move up the corporate ladder, you'll have more opportunities to speak in front of others, such as at meetings and lectures. Why not acquire the skills to speak in a way that allows you to maximize your influence and make the most of your position?
This program is primarily for professors, associate professors, and lecturers, including specially appointed professors, but anyone considering career advancement is welcome to participate.

Date and time: February 20th (Tuesday) 13:30~ (Doors open: 13:00)

◆Networking A social gathering will be held after the seminar (refreshments will be provided). Please join us for an opportunity to exchange opinions and information.

As this event also serves as a networking opportunity for participants, it is primarily intended for in-person attendance, but online participation is also possible.

DEIThe Promotion Headquarters,DEIWe hold events where participants can watch related external seminars and other materials while exchanging opinions.

The online seminar for February is titled "Creating a Workplace Where No One Gives Up: Considering LGBT Issues and the Workplace Environment."
