The Akiyama Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2024 Research Grants and Network Formation Project Grants.
The application period is from February 1st (Thursday) to March 6th (Wednesday), and applications must be received by this date (please adhere strictly to the deadline).
◆Research grants
There are two categories: General and Encouraged. For details on the differences between the two, please refer to the application guidelines (common to both General and Encouraged categories), then download and fill out the appropriate application form.

We provide grants for fundamental, nascent, and original research originating from Hokkaido. We are looking for researchers with a "strong research spirit" who are willing to take on challenges.(Especially young people/women)We will support this. We look forward to "outreach activities" that disseminate the results obtained from the funded research.
◆ Network Formation Project Grant
There are two types of projects: <A (General) Project> and <B (Young Professionals) Project>.
For details on the differences between the two categories, please refer to the application guidelines (common to both <A (General)> and <B (Young Researcher)>), then download and fill out the respective application form.
