Report on the Seminar Held to Enhance Research Skills and Develop Leadership for Female Researchers Aiming to Become PIs

With the aim of improving the leadership and management skills of female researchers, a three-part seminar will be held from December 2023 to February 2024."Leadership Acceleration Program for Women in Academia: Increase Your Influence!" for female researchers aiming to become PIs."has been held.

We invited Dr. Iris Wieczorek, President of the IRIS Institute of Science and Technology Management, as our lecturer, and held a three-part program (one in-person and two online). Participants worked on assignments given by the lecturer before each session and engaged in discussions with each other, resulting in a very active and interactive seminar.

Voice of participants

  • I learned a lot from Ms. Iris's presentation, even though my English comprehension was a challenge. Her proposal seemed very bold, but upon closer examination, it made perfect sense. I don't know how much of it will be feasible, but I'm looking forward to the next opportunity to give a presentation.
  • The instructor's teaching style was excellent, and the participants were energetic and cheerful, making it a very worthwhile experience.
  • Hearing from female researchers in other fields was very inspiring.
  • It was a great opportunity to connect with other researchers and reflect on myself.
  • Ms. Iris is very knowledgeable and kind. I learned a lot about how to deal with my weaknesses.
