Report on the Senior Career Skills Enhancement Training: "Practical Application of 'Communication Skills' for Female Researchers as Leaders"

On Friday, June 28th, we held a training session titled "Practical Application of 'Speaking Skills' for Female Researchers as Leaders," as part of our efforts to support the development of leadership and career advancement among female researchers. The training session held in February was the "theoretical part."This was the second time the event was held, and there were 6 participants.

The instructor will be the same as last time."The Power of Speaking: The Ultimate Leader's Skills"We invited Professor Kaori Yano (Associate Professor at Nagasaki University), author of a book published by Discover Twenty-One Co., Ltd., and a speech consultant for executive-level individuals such as university presidents, politicians, and business leaders, to be our lecturer. The event was held with the aim of learning about the "speaking skills" required of leaders.

First, Professor Yano began by reviewing the previous session, explaining the premise that leadership communication is a separate skill, and then described the "speaking ability" required in society, categorized into three levels.
Next, each participant received advice on how they are perceived by society. They learned about specific leadership techniques, such as how to make their personality stand out and how to clearly convey their message, using speeches by famous people as examples to learn how to create effective leadership speeches.

Participants engaged in individual work simulating actual speech scenarios, and the event concluded successfully with participants providing feedback to each other.
