With this support, on October 25, 2024, a research seminar entitled "Frontiers of Sino-Japanese Research on the Moon Gate Education: Interweaving the Future from Modern to Contemporary Times" was held by Zhang Siming, a specialist researcher at the Institute of Education.
Below, I will introduce the report.

This workshop significantly contributed to improving a wide range of leadership skills, building and strengthening networks that lead to the advancement of research, and fostering independence as a principal investigator (PI).
1. What leadership skills improved as a result of holding the study group?
Through the experience of coordinating the overall progress of the research group and leading the members, I developed my leadership skills. Specifically, a wide range of leadership skills improved, including the following:
• Planning and Execution Skills: Through planning and executing a series of events, including setting research group themes, scheduling, and recruiting participants, I developed planning skills, problem-solving abilities, and execution skills.
• Communication skills: Through exchanging opinions and engaging in discussions with researchers from diverse backgrounds, my effective communication skills improved.
• Teamwork: I learned the importance of teamwork and developed the ability to collaborate smoothly with various members, such as co-researchers and students, in order to make the research meeting a success.
• Presentation skills: By presenting research findings and facilitating discussions, I honed my ability to clearly communicate information to audiences and my skills in handling questions and answers.
2. What effect did it have on building and strengthening networks that contributed to the development of the research you were leading?
The research meeting on menstrual views in China and Japan was more than just an academic exchange; it was an important opportunity to promote network building between researchers in both countries, leading to the advancement of research and contributions to society. Specifically, the network was strengthened in the following aspects:
• Promotion of collaborative research: The research group fostered encounters and interactions with new researchers, increasing the likelihood of more opportunities for collaborative research.
• Information gathering: I was able to obtain the latest research trends and insights from researchers in various fields, which broadened the scope of my own research.
- Feedback: Through the Q&A and exchange of opinions after the research presentation, I was able to gain an objective evaluation of my research and new perspectives.
• Formation of a research community: By regularly holding research meetings, we were able to form a research community within the field and build a system for information sharing and cooperation.
3. How did it contribute to independence as a PI?
Through this study group, I was able to improve my leadership skills and build and strengthen my network, thereby honing the qualities necessary for a PI and greatly contributing to my independence as a PI. Specifically, I gained confidence in my future independence in the following areas:
• Independence: Through the experience of planning and managing research meetings, I developed the independence necessary to proactively advance my research.
• Sense of responsibility: A sense of responsibility and mission was fostered in order to take responsibility for the success of the research group and to maximize its results.
• Personal Growth: I was able to utilize the experience and knowledge gained through the research group, which increased my motivation to grow as a researcher.
