March 8th is International Women's Day. 2025 will mark the 50th anniversary of International Women's Day's establishment by the United Nations in 1975. "HAPPY WOMAN FESTA 2025" will be held in various locations throughout Japan this year, and in Sapporo, a variety of programs will be held over two days, from March 8th (Sat) to 9th (Sun), as "HAPPY WOMAN FESTA 2025 HOKKAIDO".
Two teams composed of students from our university will participate in the "HAPPY WOMAN University Student Summit," which will be held for the first time this year.
The theme is "Creating a society where women can thrive and work authentically." University students will present solutions to health issues (menstruation, menopause, cancer) and work-related problems surrounding working women, and will discuss these solutions together with companies in Hokkaido that are working to support women's empowerment and health, as well as commentators. The proposed solutions will be submitted to the Hokkaido Women's Support Office at a later date!
