On Wednesday, October 22, 2008, a toner recycling event was held at the S Building, W Building, and Northern Area of the Faculty of Agriculture at Hokkaido University.
One support staff member and two members of the university cooperative toured the 1st to 3rd floors of Building S and the 1st to 5th floors of Building W of the Faculty of Agriculture, as well as the various research laboratories and offices in the Northern Region.
In just about two hours, we collected a total of 100 cartridges and 42 toner cartridges.
Thank you to everyone in the research labs who left the materials together in the hallway, and to everyone in the administrative office who prepared everything in advance.
And once again, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone at the Faculty of Agriculture's administrative office for their understanding and cooperation, following on from the previous event held in Building N.
The toner cartridges collected this time will be responsibly converted into Bellmarks by the Women Researchers Support Office, with the cooperation of the cooperative.
The converted Bell Marks, along with the points accumulated so far, will be used to purchase science experiment equipment, which will then be donated to junior high and high schools in Hokkaido.
Our next collection events are scheduled for the School of Health Sciences/Graduate School of Health Sciences and the Institute of Low Temperature Science.
