On July 20th, we held an event at Muroran Sakae High School in Hokkaido titled "Hokkaido University Science Support Caravan: From Science to Science - Together with Hokkaido University Students - in Muroran Sakae High School." We hold a similar event every year with the aim of "increasing the number of junior and senior high school students interested in pursuing science-related fields," but this year we were able to hold it with the support of the Hokkaido Shimbun newspaper.
The event took place during the sixth period and after school hours at the high school, and more than 100 high school students participated. At the venue, about 40 university students had prepared various experimental booths designed to explain their research fields in an easy-to-understand (and fun) way for the high school students.
