We have consistently strived to create an environment and network in the field of science and technology where both women and men can demonstrate their individuality and abilities, and to contribute to society. Since becoming a general incorporated association in April 2014, we have been working to further develop a system that can contribute to society.
Our members are researchers affiliated with universities and research institutions specializing in fields such as science, engineering, medicine, pharmacy, and agriculture, as well as researchers and engineers from companies. We cover a wide range of scientific and technological fields, and male researchers and engineers also participate in our activities.
The Japan Association of Women Scientists Encouragement Award is given to members of the Association (membership is possible at the time of application, regardless of gender) who have made significant research achievements in a wide range of fields of science and engineering, show promise for the future, and who support the association's objectives and are working to achieve them. This year marks the 31st awarding of the prize, and it also contributes to the promotion of female researchers.
