1. (Repost) Information regarding participation in the "Sapporo Rainbow Pride 2025" parade (Hokkaido University x JAL) (9/14)

DEIThis is an event announcement from the Promotion Headquarters and the Social Collaboration Section of the Social Co-creation Department.
Our university signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (JAL) in 2022. As part of this partnership agreement, we have planned to jointly participate in the "Sapporo Rainbow Pride" parade, in which JAL participates every year.
Join us for a walk through downtown Sapporo with JAL employees to learn about and participate in activities related to diversity. First-timers and those who have participated individually in the past are all welcome. The deadline is September 12th (Friday) at 12:00 (the deadline has been extended). Please invite your friends and join us!

2. Information on the Sapporo City-sponsored event "#SAPPORO DIVERSITY FORUM"

This is an announcement regarding a series of lectures organized by the city of Sapporo.
Through various themes such as women's empowerment, gender equality, work style reform, and men's participation in family life, we will be holding a series of eight seminars from September to January 2026 as part of the ongoing project "#SAPPORO DIVERSITY FORUM," aiming to create a future where Sapporo becomes a city that realizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, together with you, the residents of Sapporo.
We will be holding a total of eight free seminars covering a wide range of topics, from corporate managers and HR personnel to students and citizens. You are welcome to attend one or more seminars that interest you.
All seminars will be held in person! In addition to Sapporo El Plaza, they will be held at multiple venues, including MUJI in Sapporo PARCO. On-demand streaming will also be available after the event, so you can watch seminars on days you can't attend.

3. Introducing "See, Hear, Create, and Learn! The Future of Science and Engineering and My Potential," a career startup program for women in STEM fields.

This is an announcement about an event hosted by the Hokkaido Prefectural Government's Department of Environment and Lifestyle, Life Safety Bureau (Women's Support Office, Citizens' Life Division).
The prefecture is working to promote the active participation of women in science and engineering fields.
As part of this initiative, we will be holding the following event for junior and senior high school girls, providing them with an opportunity to consider their career paths and deepen their understanding of the industry through interaction with female science and engineering students and female engineers! Through presentations by university professors on the current state of female science and engineering students, personal stories from female students and female engineers, and workshops where participants can experience the fun of science and engineering, we will promote an understanding of the industry and careers.
Date: Saturday, September 20, 2025, 13:30 - 15:45
Venue: Sapporo Nihon University Junior and Senior High School (5-7-1 Nijigaoka, Kitahiroshima City)
Target audience: Junior and senior high school students who enjoy science and mathematics (parents/guardians may accompany them).

4. Information on the Japan Women Scientists Association Encouragement Award

This is an announcement from the Japan Association of Women Scientists regarding the "Japan Association of Women Scientists Encouragement Award."
The Japan Association of Women Scientists Encouragement Award is given to members of the Association (membership is possible at the time of application, regardless of gender) who have made significant research achievements in a wide range of fields of science and engineering, show promise for the future, and who support the association's objectives and are working to achieve them. This year marks the 31st awarding of the prize, and it also contributes to the promotion of female researchers.
