2. HAPPY WOMEN FESTA [Announcement of Participant Recruitment for "University Student Summit 2026"]

The "HAPPY WOMAN FESTA," which started in 2017 to coincide with International Women's Day on March 8th, is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Following last year's success, the "HAPPY WOMAN University Student Summit 2026" will be held in Sapporo on March 20th (holiday, Friday), and we are looking for students to participate as presenters at the "University Student Summit." The theme of the "University Student Summit 2026" is "Period to Future ~Thinking about our future from the perspective of menstruation." Menstruation is a normal part of life for women, yet it is still often considered something that is "difficult to talk about" and "something to hide." That's why we want to raise our voices as university students and create an opportunity to change the future. As a team, think about "what we can do," "what universities and communities can do," and "what we want to ask companies and government" from various perspectives, and propose "solutions" for a better future.
Deadline: Friday, October 31, 2025, 17:00

11. Announcement of "STEM Future Choice Exchange Meeting for Junior and Senior High School Girls in Sapporo 2025" (November 1st)

This is an announcement regarding the above-mentioned event, jointly organized by the Hokkaido Branch of the Japan Society of Applied Physics, the Hokkaido Branch of the Optical Society of Japan, and the Faculty of Engineering, Hokkaido University.
What kind of future awaits those pursuing STEM fields? This exchange event was designed to provide an opportunity to meet women actually pursuing STEM paths, experience the real atmosphere of university and research, and reflect on "your future self." Setting aside the complex specialized knowledge required after university and employment, we have created a safe space to talk, starting with the simple question, "What is it like to live in STEM?" We also want those of you who are wondering, "Is STEM right for me?" By talking with active female researchers and female students at universities, you'll realize that STEM is actually a very interesting world that's close at hand. It's okay if you're unsure about how to choose your future. Why not reach out and explore your "STEM future" on the Hokkaido University campus?
Deadline: Saturday, October 2025, 10
