In 2015, the Japan Society of Civil Engineers formulated the "Japan Society of Civil Engineers Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Action Declaration" and has been working to promote D&I in accordance with it. In light of the progress made over the past 10 years, including the broadening of understanding of D&I in society and the deepening of its concepts, the Japan Society of Civil Engineers will declare the "Japan Society of Civil Engineers Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) Action Declaration" in May 2025.DEIIt has been revised as a "Declaration of Action."
This mini-forum aims to strengthen cooperation with relevant organizations in Hokkaido and to promote the following based on this declaration.DEIWe aim to promote the practical application of this together. The thoughts and aspirations behind the declaration of action,DEIWe will introduce the committee's activities and deepen our interaction with the participants, and discuss future plans.DEIWe hope this will serve as a platform for further development. It will be held as a related event to the 2026 Japan Society of Civil Engineers National Convention, "Putting Infrastructure in the Hands of Citizens - Collaborative Creation Opens Up the Future of Infrastructure."
