We would like to inform you about the "Hokkaido Gender Diversity Award NEWRAIL," sponsored by Hokkaido University.
Gender Collective Hokkaido aims to create a future for Hokkaido where citizens, groups, and organizations from diverse backgrounds cooperate to solve local gender issues.
And I believe that many companies, NPOs, schools, and organizations have already started taking small actions, even if they haven't yet been seen by many people.
With the aim of nurturing this initial action together with all the people of Hokkaido, sharing ideas, and connecting it to significant change in the future, we are holding the gender diversity collective action "NEW RAIL".

| Examination criteria |
The process will be conducted in two stages. First, an initial feedback session will be held by an advisor with expertise in gender issues. We will utilize the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs), an international framework that is gaining traction for evaluating companies' efforts toward gender equality, to advise on the initiatives of companies, organizations, and individuals in Hokkaido. Here, we will create feedback by comparing the submitted cases against the principles of the WEPs. The next step will involve committee members from each sector, taking into account feedback from advisors, and will be conducted based on the following focus points. |
