Call for applications for the Women Engineers Development Achievement Award
The Japan Society of Technology and Corporate Executives actively promotes diversity and continuously supports the promotion and appointment of female engineers in the industrial sector. As part of this effort, in February 2014, the Society established the "Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Development of Female Engineers" to commend the achievements of those who have made remarkable contributions to the development of female engineers (including female researchers). To date, the award has been given once a year for a total of 11 years, recognizing 111 individuals and 21 organizations, and has received high praise.
We are now accepting applications for the 12th annual awards. As with the previous awards, in addition to recognizing individuals, we will also recognize organizations such as companies and universities to promote the active participation of female engineers throughout Japan. We hope that these awards will contribute to the advancement of female engineers and further accelerate innovation in Japan.

Regarding the training of female engineers,
Individuals, regardless of gender, who have made contributions that fall under any of the following categories will be recognized.
- A person who has served as a role model for female engineers and has influenced many female engineers.
People who have contributed to creating a workplace environment where female engineers can thrive.
- Individuals who have contributed to supporting the development of female engineers through in-house training, diversity promotion, etc.
• People who have contributed to supporting the next generation of careers for female engineering students.
- People who have contributed to increasing the number of female engineers through support for primary and secondary education.
[Organizational awards]
Regarding the development of female engineers, this includes improving working styles and workplace environments, talent development, and career development support.
We recognize companies, organizations, schools, research institutions, etc., that have achieved results in nurturing the next generation.
Application period: July 1st to September 15th, 2026
Results announcement: End of October 2025
