This symposium aims to explore the career development of women and the ideal organizational structure to support them, while also providing opportunities to encounter diverse role models and foster networking and exchange among female researchers.

What is the "Hokkaido University Otsuka Prize"?
As part of our university's gender equality initiatives, this program was established in 2005 to cultivate outstanding female students who aspire to become researchers.
This award provides financial assistance to female graduate students in their final year of doctoral programs or integrated doctoral programs at this university who aspire to become researchers and will complete their studies within the academic year. Recipients are selected by the President after being recommended by the Dean of the Faculty (including the Dean of the Graduate School) and reviewed by the Otsuka Award Candidate Selection Committee.
