[Call for Applications] FY21 Public Trust Hayashi Women Natural Scientists Research Grant Fund: Applications for various programs have been closed.

The Public Trust Forestry Women Natural Scientists Research Grant Fund has issued three announcements regarding applications for fiscal year 2009.
Please refer to the application guidelines below and consider applying.

[Research Grant Candidates]
●Eligible research fields for grants: Basic research fields in natural sciences (the scope includes general chemistry and physics and biology related to chemistry).
●Eligible recipients: Female researchers (regardless of nationality) engaged in research in the fields listed above at universities, inter-university research institutes, colleges of technology, national and public research institutions, or research institutions established by independent administrative agencies, special corporations, or non-profit foundations in Japan.
However, this excludes university professors and those holding equivalent positions (for example, department heads, section chiefs, etc., at the relevant research institution).
●Research grant amount and number of projects: Approximately 15 projects, totaling approximately 20 million yen (with a limit of 3 million yen per project).
●Application deadline: March 31, 2009 (Tuesday) [Postmark must be dated on or before this date]

[Hayashi Fellow Grant Candidates]
●Eligible research fields: Basic research fields in natural sciences (the scope includes general chemistry and physics and biology related to chemistry).
●Eligibility: Female researchers (regardless of nationality) who meet one of the following criteria as of April 1, 2009, and who are not currently employed in a full-time position. Those who have temporarily stepped away from research are also eligible to apply.
① Those who have been enrolled in a doctoral program or a doctoral program for at least one year.
② Individuals who are not enrolled in a doctoral program but are dedicating themselves to research in a similar manner to those in category ①, with the aim of submitting a doctoral dissertation.
● Research grant (delegated accounting is not permitted): 1 million yen per year (250,000 yen paid every three months)
●Application deadline: March 31, 2009 (Tuesday) [Postmark must be dated on or before this date]

[Female Candidates for International Research Exchange]
●Eligible research fields: Basic research fields in natural sciences (the scope includes general chemistry and physics and biology related to chemistry).
●Eligibility: Female researchers (regardless of nationality) who meet one of the following criteria as of April 1, 2009, and who are not currently employed in a full-time position. Those who have temporarily stepped away from research are also eligible to apply.
① Those who have been enrolled in a doctoral program or a doctoral program for at least one year.
② Individuals who are not enrolled in a doctoral program but are dedicating themselves to research in a similar manner to those in category ①, with the aim of submitting a doctoral dissertation.
● Research grant (delegated accounting is not permitted): 1 million yen per year (paid in installments of 250,000 yen every three months).
