◆Hokkaido University URA Enhancement Campaign! Part 1
We will be holding an information session for new URA (University Research Administrator) applicants titled "What is URA?".
Are you familiar with the term URA? URA stands for University Research.
It is an abbreviation for Administrator, and refers to a person who works as a research management professional at a university or similar institution.
It is a promising new profession. The Hokkaido University URA position is not about "individual research" as is commonly said.
Broadening the perspective from "reducing the burden on individuals (= researcher support)" to encompass university activities in society
In this context, "planning and promoting projects that have equal importance to researchers (i.e., promoting university activities)"
We are trying to develop this into a "profession."
This information session will cover the content, appeal, and career possibilities of this new profession, URA.
Let me introduce them to you.
If you're interested in university management or research management, why not join us?

We will be holding the "Hokkaido University URA Symposium - What Hokkaido University URAs Aim For".
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology is implementing a program to train and secure Research Administrators (URAs).
Since Hokkaido University was selected for the "Development of a System" project (FY24),

At the beginning, the Executive Director and Vice President for Research of our university will introduce "What Hokkaido University's URA aims for."
Furthermore, we have URAs (University Research Administrators) from Kyoto University and Nagoya University who are active on the front lines.
We invited them to give presentations on the activities of URAs at each university, and then Hokkaido University
