"Science and Engineering Support Caravan Team" Booth Recruitment
The Office for Supporting Female Researchers is seeking groups to set up science experiment and hands-on booths as part of the "Hokkaido University Science and Engineering Support Caravan" at the following events. This is a great opportunity for faculty and students to get started with outreach activities and to directly promote their majors and research labs to prospective students. The "Science and Engineering Support Caravan" is a fun activity for both attendees and exhibitors, so please contact us if you are interested!

日時 6月19日(日) 9:00~16:30 (公開時間は10:00~16:00)
対象 北海道大学進学に興味のある中高生及び保護者(1000名程度の来場者を想定)
Regarding booth exhibition
- The maximum number of staff per booth is 7. Please contact us if you require more staff.
- Please contact us if you are motivated but have trouble gathering booth staff.
- Please feel free to contact us if you are motivated but unsure what kind of booth to create.
- Student staff members at the exhibition will receive an honorarium (approximately 5,000 yen) from the organizers.
- If you are participating from a campus other than Sapporo, your travel expenses will be reimbursed.
- Faculty members (researchers) are welcome to participate. Participation is also possible for faculty members only or students only.
- The exhibiting groups are expected to be groups of volunteers from each department or research lab.
- We offer a free temporary childcare service for exhibitor staff.

WinGS Award applications are now being accepted (repost).
The Office for Supporting Female Researchers is now accepting applications for the "Global Networking Award," which recognizes outstanding female faculty members and includes travel expense subsidies for female faculty members to attend international conferences and other international research exchanges in other locations.
Prize details
We will subsidize up to 40 yen for expenses including travel and conference registration fees.
Application requirements
Those who meet all of the following requirements
- Female faculty members affiliated with Hokkaido University (including specially appointed associate professors, lecturers, and assistant professors)
- Applicants will present (oral or poster) as the first author at an international conference or similar event held within the 2016 fiscal year.
- In conjunction with participation in the relevant academic conference, etc., visit universities and research institutions (Plus-One Visit) to hold discussions toward international collaborative research.
