Hello. This is Nagahori from the Office for Supporting Female Researchers. With the increase in foreign faculty, researchers, and international students at the university, the number of consultations regarding "childcare (especially those related to nursery school enrollment)" has increased university-wide. Therefore, we have decided to conduct a "Survey on the Childcare Environment of Foreign Faculty and International Students" in collaboration with the International Affairs Headquarters. This survey will help us to provide better support for foreign researchers and international students at Hokkaido University, so we would appreciate it if you would forward the following text to foreigners around you and help us spread the word.

3. Call for presenters for "Research Presentations in English" - Dates and times will be arranged to suit your preferences.
This is a skills-building seminar led by a native English-speaking instructor. During the seminar, presenters will give their research presentations in English, followed by a Q&A session and advice from the instructor. For those considering presenting at an international conference, this is an excellent rehearsal to receive appropriate guidance from a native speaker before the actual event. Even participants who are not presenters can practice their Q&A skills, and simply observing and listening to the instructor's guidance will be very educational.
The seminar will be held primarily in the conference room of the Women Researchers Support Office, but you can also participate from your own PC as it will be conducted via a video conferencing system such as Skype. The instructor will be participating online from Tokyo.
The event is scheduled to accommodate those who wish to present, so please let us know your preferred date first. Once the presenters and the date and time are decided, we will also begin recruiting attendees.
If you want to learn about giving presentations in English and improve your English discussion skills through Q&A, please join us.
