Researchers have many opportunities to "communicate" in various settings, such as academic conferences, lectures, and discussions.
FResHU is pleased to announce a seminar titled "Improve Your Fundamental Communication Skills: The 'Voice' That Gets Your Words Across," designed for researchers who want to improve their voices, such as those who want to avoid hoarseness during lectures, have a clear voice that carries well in large conference rooms, or learn how to pronounce words clearly on the phone so they don't have to repeat themselves.
This seminar aims to teach the theory and practical methods for creating a clear, long-reaching, and non-hoarse voice.
For example ...
- Even for the Japanese vowels "aiueo," there's a correct way to direct your breath.
- Each consonant has its own unique pronunciation technique (mouth shape, breath control).
Of course, you can also attend just one session. Each session will focus on the consonants in each participant's name, with individual pronunciation tips provided. We also offer personalized instruction on the pronunciation of full names. Please join us!
Content of each session
1. A good voice comes from correct posture and breathing.
Since voice is produced using the entire body, simply adjusting your posture and breathing can change the way you sound.
Let's learn the basic posture and breathing techniques for a clear and powerful voice.
I will also share methods for preparing your body before classes or presentations.
Date and Time: July 1st (Fri) 16:30 - 18:00
Location: Conference Room 1, Academic Exchange Hall
Event Report:We held the first session of our "Voice" Seminar, focusing on delivering messages through voice.
2. Vocalization techniques to prevent hoarseness
You don't need to raise your voice to be heard. There are voices that can be heard even when quiet.
Let's learn training methods to prevent hoarseness.
We also do tongue muscle training to improve articulation.
Date and Time: July 27th (Wed) 16:30 - 18:00

3. How to create vowel sounds that carry far
Japanese uses vowels to create resonance, and this resonance allows the voice to carry over long distances.
Let's learn how to pronounce "a, i, u, e, o" while being mindful of tongue position and breath control.
