The fifth installment of "To Aspiring Scientists: Messages from Female Scientists" featured a lecture by Assistant Professor Junko Kobayashi of the Graduate School of Medicine, titled "Unveiling the Role of Glycans from Morphological Perspectives: Expression Distribution and Function of Galactose-Recognizing Lectins and Galectins."
Morphology is the process of creating maps of the living body; it's the fundamental subject that medical students learn first.

In career development, not just for researchers, there are many aspects that can be considered "lucky!" However, those who can seize luck are the ones who have prepared themselves to take advantage of the opportunities before them. Instead of thinking, "That person is so lucky," I think the students understood that self-investment is important—that if you want to go to a certain position, you need to acquire the necessary skills and abilities beforehand.
