[Announcement] Sick Child Care Support System "Sanrinsha": Regarding measures against novel influenza

In response to the outbreak of the new influenza virus, we have consulted with Hokkaido Childcare Support Workers, who provide childcare services, regarding the support provided by the Hokkaido University Sick Child Care Support System "Sanrinsha" during outbreaks, and have decided to implement the following measures. Because the situation is different from that of conventional influenza outbreaks, there are limitations to the support we can provide. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

This will be in line with the procedures followed by the "Kodomo Emergency Support Network" provided by Hokkaido Childcare Support Workers.
For more details, please refer to the "Kodomo Kyuko Saponet" website.

1. Support for taking your child to the hospital
There may be times when staff members are unable to take their children to the hospital. In such cases, we will provide support only after it has been confirmed that the child does not have the novel influenza virus.
Whether or not we can provide support for medical consultations will be posted on the "Children's Emergency Support Network website".

2. Support for family members or children themselves who have a history of overseas travel.
Upon my return to Japan, I will be unable to accept any requests for one week. After one week, I will resume normal operations.

3. Support during the period of school and kindergarten closures due to the new influenza
If a new strain of influenza has been reported at the nursery school, kindergarten, or school your child or siblings attend, we will be unable to provide any support. Support will only be available after the nursery school, kindergarten, or school has reopened. For children attending other facilities or schools, we will provide support as usual.

*The response may change depending on the situation. Please check the "Latest Information" section on the "Kodomo Emergency Support Network" website regularly.
