STEM Support Caravan Team in Asahikawa - Booth Recruitment

The Office for Supporting Female Researchers will be holding a public science experience event, "Fun with Science! ~Let's Learn About Various Sciences~ in Asahikawa," as part of its support program for female junior and senior high school students choosing STEM fields. The aim of this event is to allow female junior and senior high school students to have fun experiencing research in various STEM fields, thereby sparking their interest in STEM careers and deepening their understanding of these fields for their parents.
Therefore, we are seeking booths that can offer science-related experiences utilizing (or related to) research being conducted at universities.

Date and Time July 22nd (Saturday), 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM (Opening hours)
Departure 7:30, Return 18:00
Message Through hands-on experiments and mini-seminars related to our university's research, we aim to directly provide information and foster awareness among female junior and senior high school students interested in science-related career paths.
Venue Asahikawa Nishi High School Laboratory, etc.
Target Female junior and senior high school students and their guardians interested in science-related career paths (approximately 200 attendees expected)
Expected Exhibitors Groups of faculty, researchers, graduate students, and students from science and engineering departments.

  • Due to transportation constraints, the maximum number of staff per booth is 5. If you require more than 1 staff, please either split your team into booths with different themes or contact us to discuss alternative arrangements.
  • If you're motivated but unsure what kind of booth to create, please feel free to consult with us. We can show you examples of past exhibitions.
  • Students among the exhibiting staff will be employed as short-term support staff and will be paid an honorarium.
  • If you are participating from a campus other than Sapporo, you will be reimbursed for the actual cost of travel to Sapporo.
  • Faculty members (researchers) are welcome to participate. Participation is also possible for faculty members only or students only.
