1. Announcement of Call for Applications for the 23rd Japan Women Scientists Association Encouragement Award
The Japan Women Scientists Association is announcing a call for applications for its Encouragement Award. Eligible applicants are members of the Association (membership is possible at the time of application, regardless of gender) who have made significant research achievements in a wide range of science and engineering fields, show promising future potential, and who support the association's objectives and are working to achieve them.
The application period is from November 1st to November 20th, 2017.

2. We are currently accepting applications for our shadowing training support program for senior female researchers.
The aim of this training program is to give participants firsthand experience of the realities of senior positions in laboratory management and organizational management, thereby enabling them to gain new perspectives, knowledge, and motivation, and ultimately leading to an increase in the number of female senior researchers and female managers.
Applications are being accepted until October 20th. Please see the application guidelines here for details.

3. We are still accepting applications for our "Voice" seminar.
Some participants are attending for the second time, following their participation last year. It is also possible to attend only the sessions that are convenient for you.
The theme for the first session on Tuesday, October 17th is...
"Good posture and breathing techniques: A resonant voice comes from good posture and breathing techniques."
The voice is produced using the entire body. We begin with physical training to create a body with a strong central axis, with the upper body relaxed and the lower body in good posture.
Let's develop a good voice by mastering a breathing technique that provides solid support.
The application deadline is next week, Friday, October 13th.
