Hokkaido University is implementing the "WinGS (Women in Global Science)" project, which promotes the international activities of female researchers, as part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's Research University Strengthening Promotion Project. Within this project, the Office for Supporting Female Researchers recognizes female researchers with outstanding international capabilities and has been implementing the "Global Networking Award" since 2014, which conditionally subsidizes a portion of overseas travel expenses to further promote international collaboration.
We held our second call for applications for the 2018 academic year, and as a result of the review by our internal selection committee, one winner has been selected.
