Rental of space mats for temporary childcare use at symposiums, academic conferences, etc.

Overview

We will secure a space for temporary childcare during academic conferences and research meetings, and lend out tatami mats to help young children feel as comfortable as possible.

Organizers of symposiums, academic conferences, research meetings, study groups, etc. held within this university.

Details of borrowed items

  • 82cm (height) x 82cm (width) x 2.2cm (thickness), set of 9 pieces (filling: urethane chips + hard cotton). When all 9 pieces are joined together to form a square, it measures 246cm x 246cm.
  • The mats have joints on the back, allowing you to connect them together.
  • When you borrow them, we will put 9 items in one cardboard box for you to receive.

Lending period

The rental period is the duration of the event plus one weekday before and after. Rentals and returns are not possible on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays.
Mat pick-up and return times are weekdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Example: If the event is on Friday → borrow on Thursday, return on Monday.

Please consider the childcare space in advance and obtain permission from the person in charge of managing that space. Use is limited to indoors only. It cannot be used on grass or outdoors.

Regarding the transportation of the mats

FAQ

Q: My baby's mat is soiled with milk, pee, crayons, etc. What should I do?
If the stain is minor enough to be wiped away and no longer noticeable, please return it as is. However, if there are any noticeable issues such as odor or discoloration, please contact us when returning the item. We recommend placing a simple sheet or similar material on top of the mat before use.
Q: Is it okay to eat on the mat?
Please use this if there are no other tables, low chairs, high chairs, etc. available during the temporary childcare period.
Q3, Can I borrow just four copies?
If it's a small number of items, we can pack them with string or something similar and lend them out to you.
