The Office for Supporting Female Researchers will be hosting a two-day seminar entitled "Be a professional ~ A series of Leadership Development Seminar for Female Researchers" on January 21st and 22nd, 2020, featuring Dr. Irina Filonova (Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University, OIST), an expert in career development for young researchers.

Introducing the instructor
Dr. Irina Finolova is an academic researcher at OIST, where she helps young STEM researchers from over 40 countries find academic and non-academic jobs.
We also develop specialized career development programs that teach researchers how to achieve their personal and professional goals.
After earning a bachelor's degree in biology and a doctorate in biomedical science (neuroscience) from the University of South Florida, and completing a three-year postdoctoral researcher position at UT Southwestern in Dallas, she came to Japan in 2014 and is currently actively supporting women in STEM fields on the subtropical island of Okinawa.
