As part of its support for skill development under the Accelerated Reform of the Female Researcher Training System, Hokkaido University will conduct leadership training (workshops) with the following content.
This program aims to provide practical skill and mindset enhancement for female researchers who aspire to become global research leaders, while also proactively engaging in education and organizational management at their respective universities, and promoting their continued success as university faculty members.
We invite female researchers currently being trained and female faculty members from universities implementing the Accelerated Reform Project for Training Female Researchers, not just Hokkaido University, to participate, as this will be an opportunity to form a network of female researchers who will lead the next generation.
I would like to have it.
The FResHU Office organizes the workshop below as a part of the F3-TSS (F3 project Technical Support for Skill-building). The workshop is intended for young female faculty aspiring to be academic leaders in science, engineering and agriculture fields, and to provide them opportunities to hone their skills in education and administrative management. Through the workshop, you, the participants, will broaden your perspective on ways to maximize your efficiency, and the benefits derived in terms of enhanced organizational, educational and overall research potential, and how all of this impacts your understanding and appreciation. of leadership.
We have invited two eminent professors from the University of California, Berkeley, who have a wealth of experience imparting skills and instilling confidence in young faculty through their original, tailor-made development programs. Sessions include practical activities such as improving lecture and academic presentation and research paper writing. About ten women are to participate from Hokkaido University and another ten from various research universities are anticipated to join us. We are looking forward to proactive, constructive exchange indicative of women scientists breaking ground and ceilings for generations to come. We all stand to gain and learn a lot from the professors and each other.
