*About BBL
In universities and research institutions in Europe and North America, professors and students hold informal discussions over lunch, known as Brown Bag Lunch Meetings. The name comes from the fact that they gather with their lunches in brown paper bags.

| Outline | I'd like to create a relaxed atmosphere where people can easily participate while having lunch, and connect with others who share similar interests.
The theme we planned for this project is: We will compare Japan with other countries to identify any unique issues or themes specific to Japan, consider what we can do at Hokkaido University by leveraging initiatives at universities abroad, and discuss what we can learn from the different approaches to diversity and inclusion in various countries. |

The Diversity and Inclusion Promotion Headquarters states:Support Program for Departmental and Organizational Initiatives to Promote Diversity and Inclusion"(Applications for the 2022 academic year are available here.We are implementing the following program. The aim of this program is to deepen the understanding of members of the university community regarding the promotion of a diverse research environment and gender equality among researchers, and we support the implementation of seminars and other events held on campus.
