International Symposia
International Symposium for Women Scientists 2014
Information
Time
October 27th – 29th, 2014
Venue
Frontier Research in Applied Sciences Building, Hokkaido University
Theme
“Water: Science we do on our Mother Earth, the Planet of Water”
- Water is essential for all lives on earth and thus not only marine biology but also other fields of biology can be included.
- Anhydrobiosis, drought tolerance can paradoxically be interesting topics, which may be connected with food resource issues and wider possibility of living organisms in space.
- Water is also the major target of environmental scientists and ecologist. Water is of great interest for astrophysicists, too.
- Water energy systems might be of interest of participants.
- Photolysis of water is a key of artificial photochemical systems, which are of great hope for sustainable and clean energy production.
